Playing with rupors code?

Rupor was kind enough to release not only an installation package but to also upload his modifications into an svn (as linked here: http://sonyfmngr.sourceforge.net/prsT1.htm).

The thing is, I have no idea at all how to use it. Does anyone feel like writing a short explanation? Looking at the uploaded diffs it does seem to be more low level then I hope after seeing it uploaded into an svn.

Is it working on decomplied java classes? Java I can deal with, decompiled makes it harder, actually decompiling apk's is something i haven't done yet.
