Why do I keep getting authorisation errors?
So, when I first got my T1, my device claimed to be authorised, but Sony Reader Store wouldn't work properly. Each time I logged in, the next time I tried to access it I had to login each time, which was a hassle. Numerous factory resets wouldn't fix it. I then contacted Sony support via email, and they were useless. Managed to fix it by creating a new email and registering the account on the device itself. Been great so far, and I ditched the Reader software in favour of Calibre. Today though, I must have unplugged it without ejecting it properly, because Calibre told me the file system was corrupt - which meant I needed to perform a factory reset. I did it, and tried to access the Reader store with my 'working' account... and guess what? It's doing it all over again. I have to login each time, and each time I do it re-authorises the device.
I've perfomed more factory resets, and to be honest, I'm worried about doing so many in case doing so many is hard on the device. I even tried logging in with my original account - which STILL has my billing information linked to it - and that now says I've registered too many devices to that account. I just don't know what to do, unless I create yet ANOTHER new email and start from scratch again. Anyone got any ideas on what's going wrong? Thanks. |
