So the Holiday Weekend is now over, and hope everyone had fun with your families. Whether you were at a picnic, or just at home, did anyone have some spare time to do some reading? and if so, what did ya read, or finish reading?

I finished reading Intruder by C.J Cherry. My wife had some time to read Eats, Shoots and Leaves.

I went on a holiday re-read of the first three In Death books - my husband is reading them for the first time, and I wanted to refresh my memory so I could discuss them with him.

I'm now starting on Calling Invisible Women- priced usually way out of my price range ($12 for a new to me author) but the reviews on Dear Author were so good, and the concept sounded so interesting, i couldn't resist.

After reading all the hype on here about the "Wool Omnibus Edition" I purchased it over the weekend and started reading it. It's worth all the hype it gets, finished the third book yesterday and I'm looking forward to starting book 4 tonight.

I wanted to sit down and read some, but I was too exhausted. I wound up at 4 different grill fests over 3 days, helped construct a shelter in my mom's backyard, cleaned carpets and walls for a late spring cleaning, prepared business license applications and such for the ladywife, and endured the teething of an overly mobile baby.

The only things I really got to read were some Dr. Seuss books to our oldest crotchfruit (which I'm alright with, cause I love Dr. Seuss).

I think it took me a week or so to finish this one, it was quite long.... I had started to read Drood first, but about 10% in to that book, it referenced this one, so I started The Terror and dropped Drood, which I will pick up again tonight.

I read Wizards and Glass awhile back and really enjoyed it. What is Wolves of the Calla about? Sounds cool. Is it Steve King also?

"Wolves of the Calla" is part 5 of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. "Wizard and Glass" is part four. I can't really say without spoiling anything, but Roland and company continue their quest for the Dark Tower.
