I can connect to itunes but not open the books

I can connect to my itunes and find books in fact they are all listed but if I try to read one with the viewer I get this error.

<unknown>.location

You can read books in the calibre library with calibre's viewer, but not books from iTunes. If you have a book in iTunes that's not in your calibre library, open iTunes and drag it to your desktop, then add it to calibre from your desktop.

This assumes that the book in iTunes is not DRM-protected. If it is protected, you can only read it on an iDevice.
