Walking The Keys - an eCoffee Table Book

My first book got the green light last night! It was created using Apple's iBooks Author software and for now is only available for iPad.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/100-...09464071?mt=11

This is the story, in pictures and words, of my 100 mile walk from Key Largo to Key West over 8 days in March, 2010.

It was a journey designed to allow me to see the Florida Keys at a leisurely pace. A chance to really see 100 miles of Caribbean shoreline, fishing villages and island towns. To meet folks along the road, gawk at the wildlife and and cross over 40 bridges, ending at the southernmost mile marker in the continental United States.

This book has over 200 pictures and maps and with a running commentary that will allow you to walk along with me on this unique vacation. You'll never see the Keys this way from your car!

Thanks Alex! I should have said that much sooner, you were a really great help as I developed the book.

It's been about 7 weeks and it's sold about 100 copies. I don't know if that's good or bad, but I'm happy with it. I'm working on a couple similar, but smaller, books that I plan to release as freebies with an advertisement included for this book. I've got no idea if that will be worth the time or not, but hey, it's a brave new world out there so why not?

The Mobileread forums have been the best source for tips and information I've found. Thanks to all!
