calibre manual slow to open on Sony

I downloaded the latest calibre manual a few days ago, and installed on my Sony PRS T1. It seems very slow to open or to move from section to section, much slower than an older version I had.

Anyone else noticed this? Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem?

Guess what?
It opens slow in Sigil (on XP) 15 Minutes and counting for Open and Flightcrew. 1 Hyperthread maxed

It is 2.2M, my normal books are quite a bit under 1M. News and Plugins are the biggest sections, still way under the 260K threshold .

Opens in under 10 seconds in both the calibre viewer and ADE. But, I think I will cut down its size by dropping the format specific ebook-convert pages.

I think it would be better if its broken down by topic. Looking at such a large manual makes me just avoid it. Although I am male and we don't read manuals anyway so don't know if it will make a difference.

Thanks, Kovid

If I understand you correctly the manual is designed to be read on a computer rather than on an ebook reader. Ah well, there goes my favourite bed time reading.
