Before buying, how can I tell whether an ebook at Google Play Books has DRM? Book descriptions don't seem to provide explicit information on this.

I don't think there is a way to tell.

I looked at the page for Redshirts which after some initial problems is reportedly DRM free in the Google Play store and I see nothing to indicate its DRM free status.
