Charging with a phone charger
hi, new here. just a quick question. i bought the prs-t1 but don't like the hassle of always charging it on my computer. i have a htc phone that is mains to micro-usb. can i use that connection to charge the t1? or could that mess up the battery?
thanks. |

Hi, and welcome to MR.
Just plug it in, and see if the red-charge-led comes on, also the battery-symbol should change to indicate "charging". If it does you are good to go. If not try another charger, or USB-cable. There is very little to no risk in trying, and you can't mess up as charging is controlled by an in device circuit. PS: With help of the seach tool in this fabulous forum, you would have found your answer already. |

Apple chargers don't work but my BlackBerry, Kobo Vox and several "generic" chargers for other stuff like my Bluetooth earphones all work with it.

My HTC and Samsung chargers also work for my T1 as well.

Ive got a HTC Sensation wall charger and that is the only charger i have used to charge my T1. Works fine and no worries.
the output on the HTC wall unit is 5V 1A which is the same if specs if you were to buy the sony wall charger for the T1 so no worries with damaging the battery. If your worried just look on the plug part of the charger and it will tell you the output of the unit. ![]() |

yeah, i have a htc incredible s, and just checked the the wall adapter and it says it's a 5v 1a.
so if that's all okay, how about using it with a european wall adapter? am going abroad tomorrow and will need to use a wall plug adapter along with the charger. is that ok? thanks. |

As long as your HTC Adapter says it can accomodate 100-240V and 50/60Hz you will be fine. Most modern adapters can handle the different voltages used, but it is could to check before you plug it in.
