Is this possible-software recognise handwriting

Hello,
I have never had/handled an ereader.I have a question re. sony t1.
I go to a library and read paper journals.I make some notes on my notebook. At home, i read aloud the notes and my friend types(to a rtf file) on my pc.
Now, can this process be duplicated on sony?
1.1 note has to fill up the screen on sony i.e. there is no scrolling for the note( so i have to make my notes small).Am i correct?
2.Sony saves the note as a png/jpg?
3.copy the notes manually (no sync) to my pc.Now, how do i transfer the notes (handwritten) to a rtf file? There should be OCR software?

Thanks

Correct.

It's also a nuisance to write / draw on since there's no palm rejection.

It's a weird SVG format which one has to jump through some hoops to get at.

Given the really low sampling rate of the Sony digitizer one's writing is really awful looking. There are programs which will convert handwriting to text though, but I don't think you're going to be able to get a Sony ebook reader to stand in for a Newton MessagePad or a full-fledged Tablet PC.

Perhaps you should get one of the tools which is better suited to this sort of thing?

Thank You very much Mr.WillAdams.
SO you say palm also will be "drawn"? I thought that T1 pen had a special "tip".
Those Newton devices seem to be of 1997-1998.
"Given the really low sampling rate of the Sony digitizer one's writing is really awful looking."- is there a review where i read more.I mean the writing speed and the actual image on screen. I saw a nice screen of hand written text on a review .

I would like to give it a try with sony. Would you mind if you name one of the good software for pc that will convert handwriting to text ( assuming a SVG can be opened/converted).
Thanks

Is your device rooted? If it is, then install Graffitti for Android... Same program used in old Palm devices

No - the stylus for the T1 is nothing special. The screen will react to most styluses and to a finger (or other part of the hand resting on it).

Well, I don't think it is particularly awful, but it does take practice. However, there is an option to use the keyboard instead - it's easier to use for notes longer than a couple of words.
