Free: First two books of Dogsland by J.M. McDermott
Writer J. M. McDermott, who was nominated for the Crawford award for his debut novel Last Dragon, is currently offering two of his more recent books for free for the next couple of days.

I linked to the books above on Amazon only so people could read the synopses and reviews there. They are not free on Amazon, only direct from the writer.

While I haven't read these, I did read Last Dragon back in 2009 and found it to be one of the more original fantasies I'd read in years.
