How to stop the firmware 3.3 automatic upgrade?
I have a kindle keyboard 3g with SO, fw version 3.2.1, I spent ages putting all hacks I want to set it up exactly the way I want it. I fear that 3.3 may screw things up, is there a reliable way to stop this upgrade from being pushed down my throat? So far I've only used 3g connection because amazon will only send upgrade file via wifi.
Now I need to transfer some files and I don't have 3g access. I added this to /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 todo-g7g.amazon.com Will this be enough to stop the automatic upgrade? And will I still be able to receive normal personal documents? |
