Get Book Descriptions WITHOUT going to Amazon

I know its been asked before, and yes I have searched the forum and the internet, but I can't find anything to help me with my issue.

I have:

Brand New MacBook Pro 13"

Kindle Keyboard "International" ordered directly from Amazon.

US Credit Card (So I order from Amazon US)

How can I get the book descriptions onto my kindle??????? I work offshore, overseas, and I don't really read much when I am "on land" and have access to the internet. 99% of the time, I am offshore and CAN NOT access the net through my Kindle. I have more than 500 books on my kindle and its getting very difficult keeping up them... I need to be able to add the book descriptions on the e-reader device!!!

Everything about the kindle and "E-readers" is great, BUT, how can they NOT put the book information into it??? Grrrr!!

I have Calibre, and yes my library is updated, and the Metadata is there. But when I transfer the book to my kindle, the book description does not sync.

Im about to throw the Kindle into the trash and go back to just carrying books in my luggage. Its great if you just have 4-5 books on it, but what about if you have 500+++ books and can't keep up with them from just the MISSPELLED TITLE AND AUTHOR!?!?!?!?!

Can someone help me out? Please?

Calibre can created a catalog of your books, including the description. That file can be put on your Kindle for reference.

You can re-convert your books on Calibre, with the option of adding the metadata at the start of the book.

Yep this is what I do. If you have used Calibre to update the metadata with the description of your books, you can get it to show at the start of each book when it's on your Kindle by going to Preferences > Change Calibre behaviour > Conversion > Common Options > Structure Detection and ticking the box next to 'Inser metadata as page at start of book'.

Once you've done that, convert the book from mobi to mobi and then when you load that book onto your Kindle, the description will be there on the first page of your book.

So what about if they are DRMed?? I can not convert the books.

And what about if they are TPZ files???

Everything works just like you said, but only if they are non DRM books.

What can I do about this?? I checked about 20 books and 4 were non DRM....
