Not interested. If I want something more than straight text, I'll watch a movie or listen to a dramatized audio production.

I don't see anything wrong with this. it was bound to happen one day. its the same with film remakes. if I am interested I will watch if not I wont I will continue to enjoy the original. Usually I am not. Today's kids are easily bored. they grew up with CGI films and Computers. so as far as I.am concerned it's a good thing for them.

I can see there being an audience for this but it wont replace actual books.

It would be nice if that kind of "ingenuity" were deployed creating something really new instead of trying to milk/leverage somebody else's work. (Even if it is in the PD.)
I'll pass. |

Yes, it sounds a bit like those live the story, solve the mystery, kill the vampire/monster/evil being, and decide what to do at various steps along the way things, that I bought a few of for me and my lad to have fun working through when he was a good bit younger - I think we finished one [got killed I think ] had a start with a couple more, then both decided it was much more interesting to actually read a proper book.........

I'd be interested in checking this out on a couple levels, and I'm pleased that it comes with the classic text. Many times have I seen an adaptation or derivative work of some book I hadn't read and been prompted to check it out to see where new material aligned and diverged. ApK |
