Hi guys, I just want to ask any ideas you could share about a crisis I'm into. lol
I'm currently torn between Kindle Fire and Nook tablet. Let me say/post first about myself and what will I be using the gadget for: 1. I'm currently in the philippines (Asia) 2. I'm an app/games/movie addict. 3. I'd love to Read books/Docs/pdf (currently reviewing for a state board) 4. Surf the web 5. Multimedia (games/play) I'm currently liking the Kindle Fire but because of the SD card slot of the Nook, I'm trying to consider the Nook tablet. And also, I can always root those 2 devices to get the google market Any inputs are appreciated ![]() |

Neither the Kindle Fire nor the nook are sold outside the US.
I'd suggest getting a generic Android tablet. Lots around to choose from. |

There are local stores here who sell those items in reasonable prices though. So I could actually get them both pretty easily

But why get something that's so limited unless you "hack" the software? The Kindle Fire is primarily targetted at Amazon's video services, which are only available in the US. Would it not be better to get something that's "open" right from the start, rather than being tied to a particular vendor?
Just a personal opinion, of course. |

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 looks like an excellent device. It's selling for $249 in the US.

Lenovo A1 Ideapad (something like that) has good recommendations.
