Looking for phone advice

Hello! I'm planning to buy my husband a new phone for his birthday and am hoping that y'all might have some suggestions regarding what would be the most "reader" friendly.

Phone must:

- Be Verizon compatible.
- Run ICS (with or without needing to root)
- Have **excellent** battery life
- Have a super high resolution screen; super clear text is definitely more important than having a big screen.

I was thinking of the Droid Razr Maxx, but I'm not sure if the resolution will be too low.

Very good choice if the battery life is more important than resolution. The text on this phone is clear enough, and you won't have problems with this.
