Battery draining too fast??
My PRS 950 has always been solid as a rock with absolutely no anomalies.

But now the battery is draining to quickly. I fully charged it last evening and this morning there is already one bar no longer shaded.

Any ideas??

I suggest the "standard-procedure":

Complete shutdown and restart, or do a "soft-reset" followed by a restart.

You might also want to restart the reader connected to USB and run CHKSDK on the InternalMemory (the removeable media named READER)

Mark, Thanks! Your soft reset suggestion is what the Sony Customer Service recommended also. Hopefully, it will work.

I'm not sure I understand why a CHKDSK might be advisable.

Otherwise, if problems still occur, Sony says they will replace the 950 with a refurbished (usually a new) unit for a minimal charge.

Cause filesystem of IM can get corrupted, preventing to close or unmount files/filesystem and thus preventing CPU from entering sleep-mode/suspend.
