Is it me - two things wrong
Is it me or have these always done this.
I haven't used either of these for a while so I could be mis-remembering them. When entering a series the usual blank value now automatically pops up with the lowest alpabetical one, so you then have to delete it before typing any series you wanted. I'm sure that before the field was blank until you started typing. Entering any series info is now a pain. Publisher column is doing it as well. When newly sorting on a column the view now centers the list, so if you've got more columns than can be displayed (as quite often happens), the view centers the list horizontally. I'm sure the view used to be left as it was, so if you sorted on the far right column, which you would usually have to scroll to get to, then it would still be displayed after a sort. I looked on bug tracker - was only displaying a total of 12 bugs. |

I dont see the behavior of sorting a column causing the book list view to change its horizintal scroll position on both windows 7 and linux.

Behavior that looks like "centering" can happen if the title is not the left-most column. Some operations seem to position the grid using the title column.

Thanks for clarification of both points.

Would it be possible to adjust so that after a column sort the view is then positioned back to what its horizontal position was, or at least so the sorted column is still displayed? |

I just noticed : if no entry is selected (like when first started) and you sort on any column, the view is not altered in the slightest. Could that be used for when an entry is selected.
Edit: added the word not. Last edited by Perkin; 03-29-2012 at 04:24 PM. |

(Books list: Preserve the horizontal scroll position when sorting by a column)
