Best Sony Reader for LRF?
I'm very attached to my collection of LRF files and I was wondering what is the best Sony Reader model to read LRF. Obviously the T1 doesn't support LRF. I have a 505 which I love but that won't last forever.

Is converting the LRF's to EPUB with Calibre an option? Then you can use any Sony model including the T1.
Cheers, Simon. |

It's possible. I do have all the source files for the LRF files still so it would be easier to convert from HTML to ePUB. I've so far avoided ePUB because it looks terrible on the 505.

I've not used LRF myself, but I have no problems with how EPUBs look on my T1.
If you want to see how either a html or LRF file that you convert to EPUB looks on a T1 (or a 350 for that matter), I'm happy to load it up and take a screenshot. Cheers, Simon. |

Don't all the PRS-X50 models support BBeB, hence LRF?
![]() Just pick the size of your pearl screen you want - that is if you can find one. |

LRF is still supported in the PRS-x50 line of readers, if you can get one.

I guess the 650 or 350 look like good options. I'm glad Sony have fixed the problems with ePUB on the 505. The ragged right margin was seriously displeasing for me. Thanks for all the responses.

Also, if you want to get a new Sony Reader, you'll have to give up on LRF as the T1 and any future Readers won't support LRF. |

I've never had a problem with epub on my 505, which is the only reader that I own. I've converted all of my old lrf books to epub through calibre.

If the OP is looking to replace his 505, I suggest converting his LRF to ePub and getting a T1. |
