Thanks for the heads up I just disabled my wifi as I am on rooted nook touch will wait for the guys at the xda for the update rooted update

I'll probably do the update tonight. A little warry as I finally got a nook touch that actually works right...but considering that B&N auto pushes out updates anyway, at some point when I turn wifi it is going to grab the download...so I guess I might as well be pre-emptive on it.

I have noticed that sometimes my nook touch will not connect to my wifi and it'll take 2-3 tries turning wifi on/off to get it to finally connect. So hopefully this update fixes it.

I really wish with B&N (and Amazon) would actually publish a REAL bug/enhancements list for updates. It'd be nice to know what got tweaked/fixed (maybe the shelves micro SD card issue)

Out of curiousity, is there a procedure for rolling back a firmware update if there are issues? I'd assume it would try to update again later if you are connected to Wifi, but I rarely connect except for the few seconds it takes to download books I've bought (which is maybe once a month for about 30 seconds).

If you try and put the zip file with the earlier firwmare in the root of the Nook, it should read it and try to flash it. I do not know if there are protections internally to ensure that this roll up does not happen.

Okay, good to know.

So far with 1.1.2 Wifi seems to be working correctly now and nothing seems to have broken and no battery issues like I had on a previous Nook ST.

Though interestingly before the total time it took to try to connect to my router when I turned Wifi on was maybe 6-8s before it either failed or succeeded. Now it seems to be taking 10-12s, but it is succeeding everytime (I tried 3 times in a row). Slower to connect, but it succeeds everytime, where as before it could be several attempts before it would connect...so overall faster now and certainly less annoying.

Still the same problem with the Home Page not correctly displaying the page number of the book I'm currently reading. Happened with 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. Tap the book cover and the book opens to the correct page and updates the home page.

Small problem!

I wish there were a way to update it without sideloading. Also, I see I still have 1.1.0. That seems odd. Shouldn't it have updated to 1.1.1 at some point?

That use to happen to me when using calibre, I just delete the books of the nook and then re-installed them, and then the correct page number has been fine for a couple of months.

This has happened to a few people, there`s a thread about it somewhere.
