metadata backup
One of these days I will learn to ask before pushing buttons! I was messing around in Calibre and I came across 'Start Backing Up Metadata Of All Books' Thinking it would give me options of yes or no I clicked on it. It doesn't LOOK like it's doing anything, but could someone please explain to me what it is I just did? And can I stop it, or do I want to stop it?

That rebuilds all thos OPF files found in the books folders so that if you ever have to recover the DB... You have a gret chance of winning.

This does NOT backup your library.

This. It's really not worth stopping it. Calibre automatically does metadata backup in the background anyway.
