Good Morning Mobilereaders!

Hi,

I'm Jim, from a small town in Surrey, England. I'm a reader and a writer and am here to pick up some good sci-fi recommendations, and then just chat about the wonderful, wonderful world of books, too.

Nobody anywhere else has been able to recommend a sci-fi series with a character similar to Richard Morgan's Takeshi Kovacs, so maybe somebody here will have some good ideas?

I managed to get my previous intro thread deleted, so apologies to the admins for that!

I'll be a model mobilereads citizen from now on

Oh, I completely acknowledge I broke the rules, and I apologise profusely for that, but the bulk of my post was actually me introducing myself. I just wrapped it in a bit of a misguided joke about also being here to "sell". In your face promotion is something that drives me potty, too, so I was trying to poke fun at the people who do do that. It backfired! And I accept the consequences!

I misread the guidelines about not having promotional links outside of the authors area, but the links I did add would only have been what will end up in my sig. I shall model mine on the lovely Mr Valmore Daniels, up there.

I've set myself a rule of getting to 20 "proper" posts now, before I so much as mention my book. (I won't count this one).

1) You can create a Self-Promotional post right now - in the Self-Promotions Forum, as long as the Guidelines are followed.

2) You'll be given persmission to create a signature line in about 2 weeks and 10 posts. We do this to discourage spammers and spam. (In the meantime, no in-text signature is allowed.)
