Use only first author from authors_sort
Is it possible to export files to folders (save on disk) using onl first autor. Is book has multiple authours it is a bit messed up to find book in series, esspeically when each book was written by different set of authors.
It would be good to have possibility to save only with first (main) author name. |

will this work with author_sort?
I. E. {author_sort:sublist(0,1,&)} There are several places, particularly on export I want author_sort, but only the first author. Alternatively is there a way to change the assignment to author_sort to only include the first author? |

You could try it ![]() Changing the default behavior is unlikely to happen. Too many things expect the current behavior. |

Or you could do what I do sometimes - actually edit your author sort field for the relevant books in the Edit Metadata screen. Requires no custom columns, templates etc, and anything that uses an author sort column like save to disk will just give you the single author.
