Is it possible....
To use caliber to put magazines on my kindle fire under the newsstand heading?
Right now I have several magazines, in pdf format, and would like to have them in he newsstand, but am unsure of just how to put them there so the covers can be seen etc. This is my first Kindle and I love it so far, just learning the ropes Mike |

I don't think so - I think when you transfer something using Calibre it will appear in books or docs. Especially PDFs I think end up in Docs. I could be wrong though.

Perhaps someone in the Calibre developer sub forum might know the deal on that.
I'd imagine that getting stuff to show in newsstand has to be easier than getting side loaded videos to show in the Amazon video player, which is another feature I'd like. |

I'm not sure how to get them into the Newsstand, but in Calibre the Personal Doc tag (in Preferences / Output Options) controls whether your converted doc ends up being shown in Documents or on the bookshelf. As I recall a Personal Doc tag of [EBOK] specifies it as an ebook for the bookshelf and a tag of [PDOC] will put it in Documents. Perhaps there is a tag for the Newsstand also (?).
