BN announced new lower prices for the Nook Color ($169) and Nook Tablet ($199)

I see there's a 8GB and a 16 GB version. Has it always been two versions? Note that they have different RAM as well.
The 16GB is $249, the 8GB is $199.

As I suspected, not a lower price for the existing Nook Tablet, but a new lower spec version to price-match the Kindle Fire.
8 GB storage, 5 of it for content (1 GB for BN store stuff, 4 GB for non-BN)
512 MB Ram

The 16 GB (original Tablet) has 15 GB for content, but just 1 GB for non-BN.
It has 1 GB RAM.
It seems you can have the 16GB version reconfigured at a store to get more room for non-BN content.
