PRS-T1 Got my PRS-T1 reader

My Question:

1.Patch my ereader:

-risk(if patch fail can I get my device back to work)
-need to have fully charged before patching
-what I need to format
-what should I know before patching it(ANYTHING JUST POST IT)

2.Which programs support those formats - pdf,chm,djvu,mobi,epub (finereader?)

3.How to partial refresh

Any other suggestion would be welcome.

I'm no expert but I recently did mine. It was easy. I just followed the directions for the minimal root package.

Yes, fully charge it first.

The two readers I use and like on the Sony T1 are coolreader and FBreader.

I don't know about the partial refresh.

I did upgrade the Sony firmware first.
