Amazon publishes the most romantic cities in the US ahead of Valentine's Day
An interesting tidbit from Amazon. Based on the number of romance pbooks and Kindle books plus romantic comedy DVDs sold and sexual health books sold this past year, among cities with over 100,000 population, the 20 most romantic cities in the US are...

1. Knoxville, Tenn.
2. Alexandria, VA.
3. Springfield, MO.
4. Orlando, FL
5. Cincinnati, OH

and 15 more.

I think they have the list backwards. Those are the least romantic cities. The fact that people read so many romances and watch RomCom DVDs is to escape from the absence of romance.

So true. To me a romantic place would be locations like the mountains, a quiet beach or a semi deserted island. Or just the two of us home alone.
