Calibre Server - Fetch Newspaper epubs via rss

Hi!

I am experimenting with a Calibre Server.

I want Calibre to download some newspapers every morning. On my Ebook-Reader (a rooted Sony PRS-T1) I want to use some kind of "podcatcher" to download these news.

However, I experience some problems.

[SOLVED] (1) First of all, the calibre server doesn't download news every day. Is the "cronjob-feature" not implemented in calibre server?

(2) Also the RSS-feed of the newspapers seems to be broken. In Firefox I can access feed and newspapers, but when I click one of the specific newspapers I get a "500 Internal Server Error".

(3) I couldn't find an Android App (some kind of podcatcher for epubs) that is capable of downloading the epubs using the rss-feed. Do you have an idea on that?

The Calibre Server does not download news - you need to be running the main calibre program for that functionality to be active and run automatically

If you are prepared to do your own scheduling of news downloads you can also get them to be run via the Calibre Command Line Interface.

And is there an Android App to download the epubs just like a podcatcher?
