Buying a Sony PRS-T1 in other european countries

Hi there!

I´m portuguese and Sony Portugal doesn´t sell the Sony PRS-T1 here.

I can buy it in other portuguese online store but i´m afraid of two things that can ruin the option to buy the best ereader.

1- Can I register my future Sony PRS-T1 in UK or France? I think I´ll need a UK or french address.

2- Can I register in Reader Store (UK or France)?

Thanks!

Well, if you use Calibre I don't think it (a) would matter, and as far as (b) goes, the UK hasn't got a Reader Store. (That's at present, but has been rumoured to be getting one, for at least 6 months, with 3 "missed" deadlines.)

But if wifi is one of the reasons you want it, you can buy, or get, from other stores and sources, even without a Sony store - for that you would need to have it registered etc...

And, really, isn't the online Reader Store going to be just, umm, another online book store ?

I have Calibre. I´m starting to use it. I want to be ready when I have my Sony.

I´m just worried with the registration process and not have all Sony features including the future Reader Store.

Thanks!!!
