sending books to PRS T1

Hi everyone!

I am sending 600 books to the SD card inside my reader using Calibre,
they are all .pdf files.

Everything is alright but it takes more than 10 hours for the progress bar to reach 40%...
Is that normal?
(My computer is not an old one and works quite well. And I've searched the thread here, seems no one have the same trouble so I hope someone could help. Sorry if my English is too bad)

Any comment would be appreciated

10 is a bit long for 600
but some of that depends on what Calibre has to do when sending.
Metadata for each book sent is refreshed before it is sent.
Antivirus scans of the Device or the Library (and Calibre modules) can impact speed.
Process Explorer/Task Manger might show you some clues as to what is going on.

Thanks a lot, theducks.
After adjusting some preference in Calibre, it do runs faster but still far from satisfactory.

Then I discovered the "automatic management" feature of Calibre, which is great for me! I copy my books to the SD card directly and put it back to my T1 connected with Calibre, it then completed sending the metadata in a few seconds!
It brings me great relief as I don't need to wait for 30 hours or adding books to collections one by one.

Go to preferences->plugins and disable the pdf metadata writer plugin
