Problem with dictioanry

Hi guys,
I have a prc-dictionary file on my device named OALD 8. I imported it to my KT through calibre. Everything works like a charm, including index search and so on. But there is an odd problem with it. KT is not going to recognize it as a dictionary and the book is treated like an ordinary e-book, How can I get the device to recognize it as a dic? I tried moving it to "Dictionaries" folder on the device, but, unfortunately, nothing happened.

thanks in advance

If it is not formatted as a dictionary, it is not going to work as one. Dictionaries take special formatting. Search is not really dictionary-specific. All books are searchable on the Kindle. Is it available if you try to select it as a default dictionary? If not, it is not properly formatted.

Salute,
Thanks for your comment. As far as I know, Index search is specific just for dictionaries. This function works well on this dic. any other ideas?

Not sure what you mean by Index search. The Kindle searches all text in all books.

By the way, I am unaware of a Dictionaries folder on the Kindle. Most Kindles just place the dictionary files in the same "documents" folder as other book files. Maybe this is a Touch-specific thing?
