Unresponsive Kindle Touch
My kindle touch has stopped responding when I touch anything other than the menu bar. How do I fix it?
I've tried a hard reset (holding the power button down for 20 seconds), the home button, the back button on the menu bar, turning pages, recharging (though the battery was still charged halfway), and a hard reset while recharging on the computer. Help! |

Have you exposed it to critical temperatures ?

I haven't exposed it to any harsh temperatures, I tend to baby my electronics and I'm addicted to my Kindle. How do I perform a factory reset?

I had the same problem.
It occurred while reading a documents sent by kindlefeeder. Anyway, the only way to use again the Kindle was to restart it by using ssh. That's why, then, I decided to automatically enable USBnetwork at startup! |

If he has the same problem I had, he can't even reach the factory reset.
That's because he can only tap on the menu bar but everything under it is frozen, so he can't view the menu popup! |

I was lucky enough to have the usbnetwork ON, so I restarted the Kindle through ssh.
From then, I decided to automatically enable usbnetwork at startup! |

updating may fix your Kindle if you didn't use the last update already.

For some reason the Kindle gods have smiled upon me and it started working on its own!
