Error on Exiting

Can anyone help.

When I come out of Calibre I get this error:

calibre, version 0.8.37
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>DatabaseException</b>:disk I/O error

OperationalError: disk I/O error

Any ideas as to how I can resolve this please?

And when adding a new record I get the following:

Run a maintenance check on the database. Sounds like a database error. Click the down arrow alongside the library icon on the toolbar, then "Library Maintenance" and whatever the check option is called (I don't have Calibre in front of me at present). That will very likely fix it for you.

Are you using a Flash drive or NAS for your library?
