Frozen Rdio

Updated last night and everything went smooth except now the Rdio app freezes up every time I try to play anything. Anyone else going thru this and if so have you found a solution?

I suspect you may have to do a factory reset...

Woops! Sorry, I should have mentioned that I had done a factory reset and still have the same problem. Before the update I was able to play a song but once the song ended it wouldn't continue on to the next one. Now, it just doesn't play at all.

Sorry! Can't help further in that case as I have removed Rdio... I subscribe to Slacker Radio (cheaper and works across all my devices) and also have TuneIn Radio... so Rdio was redundant...

I am having the same issue with my Vox. I even tried a factory reset and reapplying the update. I have contacted help+kobo@rdio.com for assistance. Will post back if I get a solution.

Thanks fastrack, I hope they can help you out.
I ended up rooting my vox, removing the rdio app, unrooting and then re-updating everything. Good news was everything worked, bad news was the rdio app didn't re install. Found the rdio apk on the net and installed that but ended up with the same problem again. I'm thinking my Vox may have something against streaming music.

It shouldn't as I stream from Slacker and Tune In Radio regularly with no problems. I also stream Netflix, again with no problems. This is possibly a problem with Rdio app itself, we had issues at the launch with Netflix working and then not...(but now working again with different version)

Response from Rdio

Rdio emailed me back asking for logs, but since my app crashes before I can get the logs I could not submit them. This is the reply I got from them:

"Not a problem—we've received a couple of other sets of logs from Kobo users on the latest device update, and are investigating the issue now. We'll keep you updated on a fix.

Thanks for your patience,"

It looks like they are aware of the issue and working to get this sorted out.

Sent Rdio an email on this and they replied that they are aware of the issue with the Vox. That was weeks ago. Never heard back. My trial has ended without even getting a chance to try it.
