Broken kindle dx

Hi

I have a Kindle DX which have a consumed battery. I bought a new battery but it seems that also the bad battery has messed up the device ( the screen is frozen showing a part of the booting image and also a part of the screen contains random lines )
I intend to try to reflash the device. I've studied and understand the procedure, also bought a usb/ttl converter, but unfortunately I do not have a rootfs image for Kindle DX . I have another Kindle 3 device but I undestand that is recomended to use a Kindle 2 rootfs for DX.
Could you help me please to find such an image. I was not able to find it googling until now.

Please post a picture of what is shown on your screen.

Where did you get your understanding that you should use a K2 image on a DX? Link please.

Having a Kindle 3 (K3) will not help you replace the 2.5.8 DX image.
You may be confusing directions on how to cross-breed a Firmware series 2 device and a Firmware series 3 image.

I know that the k3 is useless . This is why I'm looking for a k2 image. I was meaning that unfortunately I do not have a source for a k2 image ( neither my friends do not have a k2 device )
