I just ran across these while looking for some new images to change up my screensaver rotation:

The license says for educational use, but many of them are old and obviously out of copyright. The vast majority are in a format that is very eInk friendly and easy to turn into screensavers.

They aren't screensavers. eink screens don't need to be saved.

How does it drain the battery? Because it take ones cycle of the screen to show it - and then it never uses energy again? Oh wait, 2 refreshs of the screen - one when you go to sleep, the other when you wake up.

What he said. Surely one of the many attractions of e-ink is that a static page of text or image represents only the most minuscule drain on the battery.
