a youtube problem of sorts

After all the help I received from this forum I can go to YouTube and watch videos but with one slight problem. The problem; as the video is playing it will stop and a small circle spinning will show for a few seconds, and then the video will continue. This interruption many happen a few times with each video which is rather annoying. Do I have something set wrong, or is this simply a condition of low memory or computer power (whatever) that is out of my control? I bet Mr_Nobody has the answer.

The video is re-buffering due to lack of bandwidth.

Sounds like it's just buffering, which will occur if you're connection is: a) not quite fast enough, b) being used by another computer, c) etc.. If you are using the Youtube app, and not the pre-installed web-link that Kobo includes, you ma have HQ mode enabled, which would require more bandwidth, and could cause the buffering. Try turning HQ mode off my pushing the little icon that appears when a video is viewed in landscape. You won't have as nice a feed, but it will probably reduce the likely hood of seeing that little spinning circle

Cheers

You can also upgrade your internet service or wifi router.

I have good broadband and a multiband Cisco router and find highest quality Netflix works great on the Vox with no buffering. Youtube works well too, some flash video like spsceflightnow.com is not as good.

With Youtube you can pause the video until it has buffered enough so it won't run out of data.
