html2ps
I don't use community software and I don't like the iliad html reader. So I use a perl script, html2ps, together with an other script, ps2pdf, to convert my html-based documents to a pdf formatted for the iliad according to my taste.
So far it has worked flawlessly. The formatting can be changed according to stylesheets css-like. I have my text big enough form my poor eyes, justified (perfect), with an header ecc... I am a linux (debian) desktop user and both htm2ps and ps2pdf are included in the main repository. The program can be downloaded here: http://user.it.uu.se/~jan/html2ps.html here you can find a good manual with good examples on how to configure the css-like stylesheet: http://www.scl.kyoto-u.ac.jp/scl/news/html2ps.html My conf file with the stylesheet is called .html2psrc and resides in my home directory. I include it here just in case somebody would like to try. Last edited by cfusco; 11-24-2007 at 08:07 AM. |

My apologies to the community, I just realized that this thread should have been posted to the "Iliad Content" forum. I hope the moderator can move the post there. Sorry again for my rookie mistake.
