Just wanted to say hello from Canada.

I'm beginning to like the convenience of my Kobo Touch, compared to carting hardcover library books on the daily commute. I'm impatiently waiting for the library's selection of e-books to build in my favourite genre, mysteries. But it's improved even from a year ago when I first researched e-books and readers.

As a mystery reader, you're kind of in luck, because if you check in our Deals, Freebies, and Resources forum, a lot of the time-limited freebies and promos the publishers offer tend to be for mystery books (as long as you like cozies and ex-cops turned PI and the occasional thriller).

Also, we've a very nice collection of mysteries in our very own Patricia Clark Memorial e-Book Library, which are great if you like older classics like Dorothy Sayers and Dashiell Hammett, who happen to be public domain under Canada's Life+50 copyright laws.

Thanks for the welcome ATDrake, and the info about the books on the site. I'll have to check them out. Those are some of the mystery types that I like, and I'm always looking for new authors to try.
