Removing books

Stupid question, but.. I accidentally turned off the popup notification that double checks to see if you really want to delete a book. How do I turn it back on? I can't find the option for it anywhere. ><

Also a removing question: I have been recently replacing my library with open source versions of books so that I can put them onto any of my devices. So far so good, except today when I tried to remove "The Historian" is failed to delete the ebook and gave me an error message:

Never mind. CLosing and reopening Calibre seemed to fix it.
