Hello you all good peoples here. Ha ha! No grammar!
Kidding. I'm Jay from Canada, eh? :P I don't have a proper eBook reader yet, I'm actually one of the few the squeamish, who thinks the kindle is really really neat. (Secret Kindle lover!) even if it doesn't take PDFs, I prefer non-PDF books anyways. Right now all my eBooks are in HTML format on my Playstation Portable until I can get a proper reader. Don't ask how I got them all converted to html, it was a very painful process. ![]() I'm very happy to be here and I can't wait to learn more! Here's hoping that the Kindle in the very least can make eReader hardware more mainstream and encourage companies to make more of them! A Reader that doubles as a Writer would be sweet since I write for a living, and therefore could see something in the park that inspires me while I'm reading, write about it on the reader I'm using, then go back to reading and transfer it to computer later? Ah, dreams dreams. Wit luv and igloos eh? |

Welcome.
Did you find a good way to bookmark your place when reading on the PSP. I tried reading on mine and found the screen to be good for reading but I couldn't find a way to bookmark my location in the HTML book so when I quit the browser to play a game or watch a movie and then went back to the book I had to scroll to find my spot again. I didn't try too hard (at all) to find a solution though because I had my PDA to read on. |

I did find a sorta solution. But it requires knowing html. Simply put, you want to put a link at the top of every html file that leads to a section of that html file. (this is an html file only solution, not .txt)
So you would make an index of chapter links, then you can go directly to that chapter. Ihaven't tried it though, its supposed to work. I have faaar too many eBooks to try that on, not enough interest. This is why I want a darn eBook Reader of some kind! XD PSP isn't the best, even with its big beautiful screen. |
