Error Loop on startup

Whenever I turn on my Kobo Vox, this error pops up.
"The application com.android.provision (process com.android.provision) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
When I press Force Close, the same error pops up again.

Tried a factory reset? Hold volume+ while pressing power button or can you even turn it off? Might need to wait for battery to die overnight first. Contact Kobo if you cannot do a factory reset.

Problem has been solved, I had tried a factory reset before using the volume up and power buttons, which didn't work, but then I read that formatting it from a PC would trigger a full factory reset, so I tried that and it reverted to how it was when I got it. All's working fine now.

Actually, this is an excellent point for the people who are having trouble doing a factory reset because they can't power off the device. Maybe the "format drive via pc" route that someone else discovered will do the trick.

Formatting from the pc wipes it completely so it's just like when you first open it. If you do the factory reset using either the power and volume buttons, or through the kobo settings, it just wipes out personal data.

I'm getting the same error message on start up. I have tried resetting with power & volume+, the reset button in the back, and formatting the drive. Any other ideas? I just can't get past this error message.

Thanks,

I dunno...if a reformat didn't resolve it, I'm thinking you are looking at returning your vox for a replacement.

We have a similar problem here with one of our Vox. We already exchange one that would not charge every other day and now this application message with the result of having no more library. We can browse the web but the library is simply gone.

The message is about this application:

process com.android.systemui.

Kind of frustrating....paper books are soooo bug free! ;-)

My issue has been forwarded on to level 2 support at kobo. We will see what they have to say.
