Guttenberg downloads

ibytoohi Junior Member Posts: 1 Karma: 10 Join Date: Jan 2012 Device: Kindle Touch Acrobat/mobi format Hi. New to Kindle..trying to download from Guttenberg, but Acrobat Reader doesn't seem to recognize the mobi format. I can download, but cannot drag and drop into Kindle. Any suggestions? |

Acrobat Reader is for PDF files. Not sure why you're trying to use it to read Mobi files.
You don't need to open the Mobi book on your PC. Just save it from your web browser, then connect your Kindle to the PC using the USB cable, and use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the file into the "documents" folder on the Kindle. If you want to read Mobi books on your PC, you can download "Kindle for PC" from Amazon, but you don't need to have a Mobi reader on your PC in order to copy books to your Kindle. |
