Newbie to ebooks
Hi, I just received a Kindle Touch for Christmas and am not very computer savvy. Anyone know of a good site for free ebooks? I searched on Amazon but most of the books by authors I like are not free.

Welcome to the boards, not being computer savvy is no issue around here as we are a very helpful bunch For freebie ebooks make sure you keep an eye on my favourite part of the board the deals & freebies section
Lots of cheap or free books are posted regularly there

There are alos quite a few places listing or advertising free ebooks (most of the ones I know of pertain to Amazon)
Kindle Nation Daily is a really popular site, which sends out an email newsletter every day full of free eBooks - find them at:

Also, Kindle On The Cheap lists a good selection, updated constantly:

And of course, if you browse Amazon by going to the 'Kindle Store' tab, you can choose to look at the Free Bestsellers list - all books which have been well read and reviewed by others! (check out this link, the free bestsellers are the list on the left)
