epub to mobi text duplication
For some reason when I convert my epub files to mobi the story appears twice in one document. For example I have a stephen king book I was converting to put on my new kindle fire and while looking at the converted document (which it successfully converted) on the device the story is there, but when I get to the end of the story it says I am only 56% of the way through the book. If I keep scrolling, the books starts over and is in there again. Meaning that the book that was an epub and is chapters 1-32 is now a mobi file with chapters 1-32 and 1-32 a second time.
I have tried other books with the same problem. Any suggestions? Let me know if this as clear as mud. |

We need the epub, not the mobi. And you should attach books that might be copyrighted here. Instead open a bug report as described here: http://calibre-ebook.com/bugs

Sorry about the material. I have attached the Epub and Mobi files for a file from projectguttenberg.org since this material is public domain. I do realize that these books can be found already converted, but I want to know why it is converting the file like it is.
Location 3184: It didnt copy the whole book a 2nd time with this one, but did duplicate the TOC. This is not always the case though as sometimes the whole book appears 2 times. |

Duplication of ToC in MOBI is normal, see http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....-in-mobi-files
