Just started "Cathedral of the Sea" by Ildefonso Falcones and am listening to "The Marriage Bureau for Rich People" by Zama Farahad which I am loving. But by Christmas time who knows what it will be

I've read a bit of "A Christmas Carol" because it's the MR book club book.

But I've read "Peril at End House" and I'm just about done "The ABC Murders" this week.

Will also be reading A Christmas Carol for the MR book club, and Beast and Super Beasts for the Literary club. If, by some miracle, I have any add'l time, I will read more of the Dicken's Christmas novels or stories.

I'm reading various kids' christmas stories to the 4-year-old. Not really delving into too much for me in relation to the holiday season.

I'm reading "Empire" by Jeremy Paxman. It's fascinating and written with a light touch.

Attempted to read A Christmas Carol with my kids. I find the language more endearing every year.

My three-, six-, and eight-year olds... don't.

I believe we may switch over to The Best Christmas Pageant Ever instead.

For holiday reading, I recommend you read Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. It's part of the Discworld series. Given that it is #20 and if you have not read the series, you'll have to start with #1 and read your way up. Discworld is meant to be read in published order.

Hogfather was the first Discworld novel I read. Reading it out of order didn't hurt my enjoyment of the series.

I reccomend The Stupidest Angel by Christopher Moore. It is hilarious. I read it in the summer, though.

I just went really old school and (re) read A Christmas Carol. It was a sweet, swift read. I am having trouble "settling" in a book, which is why I went back to that one even though I know the story. I have started and stopped several.

Thank you for that! I read his Bite Me series and really enjoyed it. I just got it for my Kindle. I saw that there's another version coming out with Bonus Material on Dec. 20th if anyone is interested.

I read O Little Town recently and enjoyed it. It was a feel good book around Christmas. I'm on the wait list for some Debbie Macomber Christmas books. Who knows when I'll get those though.

I just finished reading Christmas at Timberwoods by Fern Michaels. The plot was kind of depressing for a Christmas book.

Yesterday I started Glad Tidings by Debbie Macomber. It's two short stories in one book. I am enjoying this book more than the other one. I got it through the Kindle Prime Lending Library.

I am also reading the Delphi Christmas Collection from Delphi Classics. It's a nice selection of short stories and poems.

I'll be reading I Am Half Sick of Shadows, the new Flavia de Luce book. Apparently it has a Christmas theme and I just love the little twerp!
