Well, I've come to terms with poorly formatted eBooks. I hope I'm a more savvy Kindle owner now, no longer assuming a Kindle book on Amazon itself will show evidence of having been looked at by author or editor.

Yet it seems my newly-birthed savviness has much to learn before it is fully grown. It's those LookInside! links that get me. I want to see if the eBook is just a sample, perhaps--does it have all the chapters? Or before spending big bucks (you know, more than $0.99) I want to make sure it has been edited. Or perhaps I just want to get a sense of an unfamiliar author's style before pulling the trigger on a purchase. So, I click on the nice LookInside! button to answer all my questions. And what do I find, all too often?

A title page. A copyright page. A table of contents, all hyperlinked to the next page. The next page--a Note from the Author, perhaps, or a Dedication. And finally, a heartfelt wish that I enjoyed my free preview!

Underwhelming.
