Is there an iLiad Stand?

I occasionally like to browse whilst at lunch...

It is a bit awkward trying to read the iLiad flat on the table.

Does there exist a stand that holds the iLiadn at a comfortable
viewing angle and secure enough to turn pages, press buttons, etc?

It would also be useful to be able to read the iLiad next to my
computer ( flat does not hack it...)

Thanks

Jerry

I think so too.

The funny thing about the iliad it's that it's so book-like that you will solve it with an ordinary booklift.

I've been using this Fewolles with my iLiad, and I'm quite happy with it.

Book stands are better for your health too.

I like to use this one. Fits the iLiad very nicely.

And making the 'bookstands' perfect would be power/pc connectors built into the bottom.

I believe that iRex have been promising a cradle for the iLiad ever since its release, but it's never actually materialised.

The cradle for the iLiad will not be coming. Its not worth it for iRex. Too expensive. Maybe when they start selling lots and lots more iLiads in the future.

Hi,

Today I ordered a bookstand from http://ereaderoutfitters.com/

It sounds like it is a "BookChair" and the copy said that there was
a cut out for the power cord to fit...

We will see...

iLiad Stand arrived today...

Hi,

My iLiad stand arrived today and indeed there is a
rectangular cutout in the bottom rail that holds the
iLiad that is just large enough to pass the funky
recharge/network cable through to the iLiad.

My Illiad reclining comfortably

In a "book chair" from the outfitter guys.

It has a hole in the bottom (which you can see in the picture) for the power to go to.

That cutout looks great. I guess we will have to find some carpenter to make those cutouts for us aswell.

Yes, pretty please!

There's no point in ordering that chair overseas...

You're saying they're selling the same bookchair as you,
but drilled that connecter hole by themselves?

It is actually very easy to do. I did it myself (and I am definitely not a handyman) (I mentioned it here on the irex forum). I didn't realise that it was possible to buy them modded like this. The bit that you need to cut is attached by a simple angle piece to the side that is easy to undo with a small screw driver. The wood is of nice quality and easy to cut with a small saw or chisel. I think the trickiest bit was finding the washer that I had dropped on the floor
