If you buy a B&N e-gift card via eBates, you can then use that to buy e-books. I always buy them that way.

Yes, but until recently you could double-dip--get the rebate on the gift card, and then get another rebate on the e-books you purchased with the gift card. Alas, no more.

Yeah, they stopped that possibly because of the bonus 10% gift card promotion.

I could have received $110 in gift cards for $88 which is still a good deal. But I still had old ones to use first.
