I just got an email from Decalgirl with a coupon code for Black Friday. I'm a bit bummed out because I just bought one last week!!! But perhaps you might benefit:

Keep in mind if they send you a defective skin. They wont admit it's defective and make it sound like it's something you did. They make you pay shipping for the replacement. You have to send them a pic of the skin, proving it's defective first. So make sure you have a camera.

If you check out using Amazon's checkout through their site, they'll want you to call them to give them your credit card to pay for the replacement. So use the site's checkout or Paypal.
I refused but negotiated and got them to let pay through Paypal instead.

No where is this on their site other then it saying if you damage the skin they will send you a replacement if you pay shipping.

So it's a risk you are taking with them. If you are okay with that then Happy Shopping!

Katie1 - Is it that difficult to put .com on the end of decalgirl? Most folks on here are familiar with them and if not, Google works wonderfully.

I know they do but I went through Amazon to pay because I was using a prepaid card that was a birthday gift. Anyway my replacement was shipped yesterday but it will be the last time I deal with them. Their customer support is rude! They could learn from Amazon.

May I ask how a skin could be defective? How would someone who's never seen one before know the difference between a good skin and a bad skin? If you don't mind my asking. I'm not being sarcastic or anything I genuinely want to know what it would look like and how it could be defective.

The button holes were off. The Kindle 4 has 5 buttons two small ones a bigger 5way and 2 more small buttons in a row and the last two were defective, They weren't align correctly. making the skin useless.

I think the thing that cuts them was to blame but they made it sound like it was my fault.

I have seen skins before as I have a friend who loves them. She uses a different brand though but they don't have Kindle 4 skins yet.

Aside from not being cut correctly, there was a post in the Sony forum here a while back, about a skin that was printed wrong. Color wasn't right, pattern was off, et cetera.

Nonsense! If that's truly the case, you might want to do a virus check on your computer or bring it in to someone because it would appear your computer is infected.
