Silliness Battle Field 3 or Modern Warfare 3

I love video games and FPS

... and two nice ones went to the market now.

I already have y favorite and actually bought both. But wanted to know, what others think and what their favorites is.

I would have to say Battlefield 3 over MW 3, but that's because I like more realism and strategy.

Both are good though. If you want vehicles, large maps, great graphics and destructive environments - get bf3. Like fast small maps with all kinds of kill streak bonuses and less realisitic gun play - mw3.

I agree, I do like BF3 too but don't really understand the sales numbers for Modern Warfare 3. It's selling like hot cakes ...

i got battlefield after buying cod the last few years. theres a world of difference between them. bf3 is insane, hectic and fun. nothing beats traveling to shore in an amphibious assault vehicle as a-10s and choppers are battling overhead, tanks are firing at humvees and the world is going to hell around you.

From what I've seen.... The hype for Call of Duty tends to far outweigh everything else. I have a friend who is hopelessly addicted to Modern Warfare and continually asks me to get it so I can play with him. And, as soon as they announce their next Modern Warfare sequel (which will probably include a few incremental upgrades), Jon will be all giddy as a school-girl in anticipation for its release.

Heck, I'm still stuck on World at War. I'm just not that into shooters, really.

name recognition based on $200 million dollar marketing campaigns, the hangers-on who simply buy something because its popular and the sheer momentum of "hey i liked it last year..."

in my case i was on the fence, i knew what mw3 was all about and bf3 was the "scary" unknown property. i'm very glad i got the urge for something different this year. until call of duty ceases being the same exact game year after year, i'll continue supporting battlefield (unless they fall into a rut as well).

If I've played MW3 3 times, that's a lot! ;-) ....

On another topic, but related. Yesterday "I killed" a helo's pilot, while flying! I was shocked myself. I was using an sv98 with a 12x scope.
